| TARALGA AP & H ASS — REGULATIONS 1) Entry fees as stated throughout this schedule. Camping facilities and amenities are also available, and fees are as stated in this schedule. 2) All postal entries must be in the hands of the Secretary on or before the MONDAY before the show. Pavilion entries may be left with the Secretary no later than the WEDNESDAY before the show, or otherwise taken personally by the exhibitor to the pavilion steward before 9.00 am on the FIRST DAY of the show. 3) All exhibits must be delivered on the ground to a member of the Committee on the evening before the show or before 9.00 am on the first day of the show, with a label showing the name of the exhibitor, section and class attached. All exhibits shall be considered to be in the custody of the committee during the hours of the show, and any exhibitor who (except as provided fro in Regulation 4) removes an exhibit without the permission of the Secretary and the Steward in charge before 4 pm on the second day of the show, shall forfeit any prize which may have been awarded for such exhibit, if the exhibit in question is not awarded a prize, then the exhibitor shall be liable to a fine of not less than 25c for each exhibit taken away and the Committee reserves the right to deduct such fine or fines from any prize money awarded to the exhibitor in any other section or class. 4) Exhibitors of livestock may, with permission of the steward in charge, remove such stock from the ground on the first night of the show, but stock so removed must return to the ground before 10 am on the second day, failing to do so will impose penalties provided in Regulation 3, which will be enforced. 5) All exhibits must be the bona-fide property of the exhibitor. All joint exhibitors must be members of a recognised partnership. 6) The age of all horses exhibited will be from 1 August. 7) All exhibitors of livestock must produce such proof of age as the Judge may require, and in the case of a disputed age in livestock, other than horses, the rule followed will be that adopted by the Royal Agricultural Society. 8) An exhibit of livestock may be entered in any number of classes, but upon being awarded a first prize in any one class (except classes under a and b) shall be disqualified from gaining any further prizes, other than special prizes with the following exceptions: ▪ draught horses or mares winning first prize may compete as one or a pair or vice versa; ▪ winner of any class of gent’s hack may compete as a lady’s hack or vice versa; heifer winning as single heifer may compete as one of a pair or vice versa. ▪ single buggy horse or pony winning first prize in Hackneys or Harness classes may compete as one of a pair or vice versa. These conditions do not apply to hunters or trotters. Stallions will not be allowed to compete in miscellaneous classes. 9) The farm, garden produce and sundries must be grown, manufactured or raised by the exhibitor who may compete by exhibiting varieties, but any exhibitor who shall send any exhibit for competition which has not been grown, manufactured or raised by himself shall not be awarded a prize. Farm produce must be grown during the present season. 10) The judge may withhold any prize if they deem the exhibit does not warrant a prize, or give a lesser prize in lieu of the one stated. They may also award prizes without competition should they consider the exhibit worthy. 11) The judge may award a prize or certificates to any article not included in the schedule, which they consider sufficiently deserving. 12) In all cases of disputes, the decision of the committee shall be final, and all protests must be lodged within 24 hours of award with the secretary accompanied by a fee of $1 to be forfeited if frivolous. 13) An exhibitor making himself known to a judge or judges as an exhibitor of an article or interfering with the judges’ decision shall be disqualified. 14) Any exhibitor accused of conduct calculated to bring the Association into discredit shall be called before the committee at such time, and place as the committee shall determine and, if found guilty, shall be liable to all or any of the following penalties: REPRIMAND, FORFEITURE of all prize money trophies, etc. awarded DISQUALIFICATION from exhibiting. 15) The committee reserves the right to refuse or cancel any entry without giving any reason. 16) NO EXHIBITOR OR PERSON IN CHARGE OF AN EXHIBIT WILL BE ADMITTED TO THE SHOWGROUND FREE. Sideshows and stands will be allowed on the ground subject to the approval of the committee and upon payment of any sum they may deem fit to charge. 17) All horses and stock over the age of nine months old to be led into the ring. 18) No stock of any description to be allowed loose on the showground after 9 am. This rule is to be strictly enforced. 19) All dogs found loose on the ground may be destroyed. 20) The committee expressly reserves the right to stop any objectionable performance or sideshow at any time during the continuance of the show. 21) All prize winning horses capable of being led, driven or ridden, must take part in the Grand Parade, except by special permission of the steward in charge. Infringement of this regulation shall render the defaulting exhibitor to forfeit all or any prizes won. 22) The Association will not be responsible for any accident that may be caused through or by any exhibitor or exhibit, and it shall be a condition of each entry that every exhibitor shall hold the Association blameless and indemnify it against legal proceedings arising out of any such accident. Whilst all reasonable care will be taken, the Association will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for any loss or misdelivery of livestock of any other exhibit of any kind or any injury done thereto. 23) The word LOCAL in any class in this schedule shall be taken to mean residents of the TARALGA POLICE DISTRICT and/or past or present members of the TARALGA PONY CLUB that have attended at least one Pony Club camp. 24) Receipts will not be sent unless requested. 25) WAIVER FORMS MUST BE SIGNED BY ALL EXHIBITORS AND COMPETITORS |
