| ABOUT TARALGA A Heritage in Stone Taralga is a picturesque historical village, with a well-earned reputation for warm country friendliness and is just half an hour’s drive north of Goulburn on a sealed road. The village has many charming old stone two story buildings erected about 1870, and once boasted seven hotels. Most of these are now private residences. Within the village there are three bed and breakfasts, self contained accommodation, two country pubs — both serving lunch and dinner, two tea rooms, one store with take-away food facilities, a service station, a post office, rural supplies, home craft shop, antiquates and old wares and an Anglican op shop. The Taralga Historical Museum is located in the old Methodist Church (1868), which houses the society’s archives. A colonial cottage and dairy complex are also on the grounds. Visitors are always welcome.
